Someone giving a cynical remark will often lower their eyelids in between rolling their eyes. This gives the character an instant tired or bored look and is the trademark gaze of the Sleepy Head, Heavy Sleeper, or Deadpan Snarker in animation. A style of drawing eyes with a straight horizontal line at the top or through the middle, so they look half-closed.
